For the first time in almost two years, Greencastle High School Track and Field was able to enter and complete a competition. IT WAS AWESOME. Perfect spring weather provided the backdrop to what would be a PR (personal record) warzone. Every athlete performed beyond what was expected based on practice times and left every coach (Walters, Bryan, Wilson, Camacho, Mitchell) impressed and proud. WE APPRECIATE YOU. Kennedy Trigg started the season off on a high note by breaking her own school record in the long jump with a tremendous leap of 17’ ½” while also earning a first place. SUPERB. Other individual winners: Stuart Nichols in the 400m, Hannah Winters in the 1600m and 3200m, Kennedy Trigg in the 400m, and Lauren Elam in the 300m low hurdles.
Track and field is back and the GHS team is young, hungry, and ready to get FASTER and STRONGER.
