Comments: Jake Bennett shot a 3 under par 69 to lead the Tiger Cubs to an impressive 25 shot victory in the WIC conference tourney on Sat. at Rolling Meadows GC. Jake shot a two under par 34 on the front nine and a 1 under par 35 on the back nine. All five Tiger Cubs made All Conference, Jaxon had his best scoring day of the season Shooting 38 – 37, Conner had 36-41, Blaise 39-38, and Kyle 39- 41 to round out the scoring for the Cubs. The Cubs shot a blistering 147 on the front nine and a solid 151 on the back nine. This was a real team victory and shows how consistency makes the difference between the teams that only have one or two good players than a team with 5-6 consistent players. This has been one of the team goals this season for the Cubs The Cubs were pretty good in all phases; driving, iron play, chipping, and putting. The weather was warm and sunny, the course in playable condition, and a well run tournament by the coach and staff of Owen Valley. The Cubs are peaking at the right time and are getting ready for a run at Sectional and Regional and possibly State qualifying.

Next Match: Wed. May 16 at Tiger Point CC ( formerly WHCC} at 4:30
