Comments: The Cubs traveled to Twin Bridges to play North Putnam, and Crawfordsville in a three way match and came away victorious against them. Jake Bennett led the scoring for GHS and was medalist in the match shooting 39 for the nine holes. The course played long, with very hard and fast greens which caused all the players to be higher than usual in scoring. Conner, Jaxon, Kyle, Benton, and Blaise had some good shots, but struggled with shot making as this was the first time they have played summer rules, which means they played the ball without touching it and improving the lie. This was a difficult course to score on because of the course conditions. We did score 7 shots better tonight than on Monday so this shows an improvement. The weather is getting better and this will give us the opportunity to work on the parts of the game that is needed to continue improving as a team.
Next Match: Monday at Forest Park in Brazil against Northview 4:30 and Tues. at Rea Park in Terre Haute against T.H. South 4:30.
