Comments: Greencastle traveled to Quail Creek to play the Bruins of Tri-West in a 9 hole match on Wednesday. It was wet and cloudy during the match, but the Tiger Cubs put together a good score of 169 for the win. Keaton was the medalist posting a good score of 38,while making a birdie and many pars. Also making a birdie for the Cubs and shooting a good score of 40 was Tyler; followed by Benton, who got off to a slow start making a triple on the opening hole, with a 45, Lathen shot a 46, his first top four finish of the year, and Vincent with a 48,Zane with a 49 and Clark with a 53.
Tri-West has a young team comprised mostly of freshman, but put up a good match. This was a good win because of the weather and hard slow greens that were difficult to hold and putt. Our putting and chipping improved since our last match and should get better with practice and matches.
