4/12/18 – 3-Way meet with Monrovia and Owen Valley

Both of our teams took 3rd. Seelye Stoffregen led the charge for our girls as she won the 100 Hurdles and 300 Hurdles and anchored our 4×400 to a 2nd place finish. Rose White did a great job of managing her time with high jump and her running events as she had a pair of 3rd place finishes and was also a part of our 4×400 relay. Jada Amis picked up a win in the discus to go with her 3rd place finish in the shot.

Ben Gellman led the way for our boys as he won the 3200 and took 3rd in the 1600. Jack Hutcheson ran a 55 second 400 which was good for 2nd and picked up a 3rd place finish in the 110’s. Trever Wood cracked the 40 feet mark in the shot put which was a big plus. We’ve got some momentum and we’re looking forward to taking on Western Boone as part of our Senior Night on Monday, April 16th at 5:00 PM!

4/13/18 – Franklin Central Flashes Showcase

Emma continued her hot streak as she took first at the Miracle Mile. She ran 4:54.94 which bettered the previous meet record held by Waverly Neer. The best milers in the state of Indiana were in attendance so this meet served as a good measuring stick. This was 1 of 2 track races that she lost last year and all 3 girls that beat her were in the race. I’m confident in her ability to take a race out fast and win, but to see her not in the lead with 200 meters to go was nerve wracking. When she was ready to leave, she did just that and managed to get a 4.3 second victory.
