Greencastle walked away with another victory Monday night, with a 2-1 victory over West Central Conference foe, Monrovia.
It was a slow start for both teams, although Greencastle dominated possession of the ball. It took a goal from Monrovia late in the first half to get Greencastle fired up and to start playing with a desire to win. Junior Sydney Secrest tied up the score minutes after Monrovia's goal and after an extremely close shot by Greencastle's Gracie Smith, the teams headed into the half tied 1-1.
The Tiger Cubs came out strong in the second half, again dominating posession, and quickly put a second goal on the board. Despite several attempts the Tiger Cubs were not able to get another goal, but they were able to hold Monrovia off and walk away with a 2-1 conference victory.
