Friday Night Lights is almost here. Many of our coaches and players (and some of our parents and fans) will find it a little hard to get to some sleep tonight with the excitement of our home opening varsity football game approaching. Hope you can join us at the stadium … can you smell the popcorn, hear the crowd, see the lights? I can!
We are expecting a large, loyal and loud crowd at out football game tomorrow night as the Tiger Cubs fight to continue their long regular season winning streak. Hope to see there as well.
A little housekeeping. When we go to a Colts, IU or Pacers game we know we cannot leave the facility and re-enter. That “no pass out” policy is not unusual at most high school stadiums as well. The reason is security. Greencastle Schools also wants to make sure we have a safe environment for our students and fans.
Students who leave the stadium will not be allowed to return that evening. Adults are asked to remain inside the stadium as well. While there may be a valid reason for an adult to go get an umbrella or a blanket from their vehicle, it should be the exception, not the norm.
Returning to tailgate at halftime or to visit in the parking lot is discouraged. We hope to keep the party inside the football complex … rooting on the Tiger Cubs and we hope we can accomplish this without incident or hard feelings.
How many “regular-season” games have the varsity football Tiger Cubs won in a row? Do you know the answer? Let’s add one more to it tomorrow night!
Go Tiger Cubs! GH
